Seeing What I Want to See (And Making Space for It)

Seeing What I Want to See (And Making Space for It)

Today I spent time journaling, going over my affirmations, my transformation map, my declaration, and the things I've learned about coming home to myself. I am full.

While creating a sacred corner in my room, I kept returning to an affirmation: I intend to see that which I want to see. I went to the store with a specific seat in mind and found exactly what I was looking for—actually, something better. That small experience made me think about how intention shifts the way I move through life.

I can see myself waking up, going to the gym, spending time on the treadmill, and making choices that support me. And because I can see her, I can prepare for her. Tonight, I'm laying out what I'll wear tomorrow—just looking out for my future self.

As I thought about August, I returned to the origin of the word itself. The Latin augustus carries meanings like magnificent and majestic, while the root aug- means to increase or grow. I brought those meanings together as my intention for the month: magnificent increase.

For August, I welcome magnificent increase in and around me. I welcome transformation, grace, and ease. I remain open and expect the unexpected. I joyfully move forward with love, knowing that I am worth it.

Maybe changing the momentum of our life experience begins with seeing differently—and then making choices that meet what we see.

Alchemy Reflection: What do you intend to see, and how can you support that future self today?

Mantra: I intend magnificent increase in my overall well-being.
