Intentionally Intend

August began with me cleaning and reorganizing my space, but somewhere in the middle of it, I realized I was doing more than putting things back in order. I was thinking about what I want to experience differently in this next season of my life: discipline, elevation, and body love. For me, discipline is how I consistently honor what I say matters. Elevation is the direction I feel myself moving. Body love is how I want to experience myself while I am getting there.
I also began thinking about another question: What part of me cannot go into this new place? My first answer was the part of me that is unaware.
I am still sitting with what that means, but I realize awareness changes what we can continue pretending not to know. Once I recognize what supports me, what drains me, what my body needs, what I desire, and what feels aligned, I have a different responsibility to myself. I cannot unknow what I now know.
That thought became even more meaningful while I was cleaning my altar. I found an inspiration deck I purchased two years ago at an Esther Hicks workshop, and the card I pulled read: “Every morning for 30 days, I will intentionally intend.”
On August 1st, while I am actively developing a Community Intention Circle, I received that. The way it landed for me was wild, but there was also a sense of ease in it—as if something was simply confirming what was already unfolding.
That word, ease, especially resonated because I recently noticed a shift. Healthy choices that once required so much internal negotiation suddenly felt easier. I love a good acronym, so I created my own meaning for EASY:
Elevation. Alignment. Support. Yielding to my highest self.
That changed something for me. I have often thought of transformation as effort—pushing, changing, correcting, becoming. I am now understanding that some transformation happens when we become so aligned with what supports us that we no longer have to fight ourselves quite so hard. The choice becomes easier because something inside of us has already shifted.
As I enter this new month, I am grateful for the clearing, the lessons, my community, the opportunities unfolding, and the love around me. More than anything, I want to move through August awake enough to recognize what life is showing me and intentional enough to respond.
What if intentionally intending is less about forcing an outcome and more about choosing what brings you into Elevation, Alignment, Support, and Yielding to your highest self?
